RP is an adaptation of Motivational Interviewing that strikes a new balance between directive and non-directive therapy approaches. It is a general psychotherapy, appropriate for most client presentations. It can be readily learned through participation in the RP Practice Network.
A group of learners engaged in collaborative, empirically-based training, in RP and Motivational Interviewing. Coordinated by David Roberts, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio and member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).
We are engaged in empirical study of RP, the relationship between RP and MI, and the RP Practice Network a as a model for learning psychotherapy. All RPPN members are welcome to participate.
