Currently, all of our research is educational, meaning that we are studying RP and studying ourselves as learners, but we are not involving patients in our research. Therefore, our current projects are not regulated by a Biomedical Institutional Review Boards (IRB).
We are studying links between the amount and type of practice learners do, and their increased mastery of RP skills.
We are testing whether we can reliably measure the core elements of RP in video role-plays. See and download our RP Fidelity Scale here.
We are studying the relationship between Reflective Psychotherapy and Motivational Interviewing. Does RP training promote MI competence and vice versa? To do this, we are coding the same counseling samples using the RP Fidelity Scale and the Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity (MITI) coding system.
We support learners developing and pursuing study ideas with the data we are collecting.
